Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC)

The Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC), founded in 1971, has been the premier media research, publication and information centre in the Asia-Pacific region. It is a fully independent, non-profit organization and a registered charity in Singapore with the mission of spearheading the development of media and communication expertise in Asia and the Pacific within a broad framework of economic, social and cultural development.

AMIC is also a membership organisation. Individuals and institutions with an interest in media and communication in Asia are welcome to register as members. Some privileges accorded to AMIC members include special rates when participating in AMIC conferences, seminars and workshops. Members may also purchase AMIC-produced journals and books at discounted prices and access the “Members Only” section on the AMIC website., AMIC is a major resource centre for communication practitioners with its interests in Asia. Individual and institutional members are drawn from all over the world. AMIC members include communication professionals, policy makers, administrators, academics and others who are interested and engaged in communication activities.

AMIC membership is open to individuals and institutions with an interest in media and communication in Asia. Members can participate in AMIC’s conference, seminars, workshops, and media programmes. They can also purchase AMIC-produced journals and books at a discount rate, access to the ‘members only’ section on the AMIC website.
