Journal overview

Educational Psychology provides an international forum for the discussion and rapid dissemination of research findings in psychological aspects of education ranging from pre-school to tertiary provision and the education of children with special learning needs. As a journal that focuses on researches within a quantitative, scientific remit, Educational Psychology places particular emphasis on the publishing of high-quality empirical reports based on experimental and behavioural studies.
Educational Psychology does not normally publish position papers and qualitative studies. Papers on development and validation of measurement instruments will be considered and collected to be published in one issue annually. Review articles are published by invitation only.

Peer Review Statement:

Taylor & Francis is committed to peer-review integrity and upholding the highest standards of review. Once your manuscript has been assessed for suitability by the Editor, it will then undergo double-annonymous peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. Mindful of Journal quality, a Reject decision will be applied to manuscripts that are still found to be wanting after the second round of revision.

If you have shared an earlier version of your Author’s Original Manuscript on a preprint server, please be aware that anonymity cannot be guaranteed. Further information on our preprints policy and citation requirements can be found on our P reprints Author Services page. Find out more about what to expect during peer review and read our guidance on publishing ethics.

Authors submitting their work should include an acknowledgement statement in their cover letter and the non-anonymous file regarding the provenance of their manuscript if it is based on unpublished work which has been uploaded to a server, including conference presentations, student assignments, thesis or dissertation, and preprint version of the manuscript. The statement will be included as an acknowledgement in the article if and when the article is accepted for publication.

Authors can choose to publish gold open access in this journal.
