Heather M. Russell
Heather M. Russell is an associate professor of mathematics at the University of Richmond. Trained as a knot theorist, she has a penchant for thinking about mathematical ideas diagrammatically. Or, as she likes to tell her friends and family, she makes a living doing math with pictures.
Brett Barnes
Brett Barnes is a junior at the University of Richmond pursuing a double major in computer science and math, with minors in data science and statistics and Italian. He is passionate about exploring new mathematical topics, and loves immersing himself in unique and interesting fields. He has always been drawn to the incredible depth of mathematics and the endless opportunities to learn new things.
Caitlin Sales
Caitlin Sales is a senior at the University of Richmond, pursuing a double major in computer science and math and a minor in secondary education. She enjoys the structure, logic, and unambiguity of working with numbers. In math, she appreciates that there is always a solution, even though it might take her a while to get there.
