Justice Quarterly (
JQ ) is an official publication of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.
Justice Quarterly is a refereed, multi-disciplinary journal that publishes theoretical, empirical and interpretive studies of issues related to criminal justice, crime, and criminal behavior. The primary focus is on articles that report original research (quantitative and qualitative) that make a unique and sizable contribution towards advancing the field in terms of theoretical understanding of the causes and consequences of crime, and the operation and evaluation of the criminal justice system.
Justice Quarterly is published seven times a year with one issue being a 'themed' or 'special topics' issue.
Justice Quarterly has become a premier journal and it continues to be a major forum for criminal justice related scholarship, making it an essential part of any library's holdings.
Peer Review Policy:
All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editors, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is double anonymized and submission is online via ScholarOne Manuscripts .
Authors can choose to publish gold open access in this journal.
