Journal overview

Published by Brill from 2017.

Israel Journal of Ecology & Evolution welcomes contributions in all areas of ecology and evolutionary biology, including high-quality original research and review papers that advance our knowledge and understanding of the function, diversity, abundance, distribution, and evolution of organisms. We give equal consideration to all submissions regardless of geography. Applied ecology problems, such as biological control and conservation biology, are welcome, particularly if they address conceptual problems. Theoretical papers are equally welcome. Preference is given to hypothesis-driven papers, and papers that are purely descriptive have a low probability of acceptance. Please note that papers will be rejected without review, if they do not fit the scope of the journal.

Authors are entirely responsible for statements, whether fact or opinion. All papers are subject to peer review. We strive for a rapid review process. Authors may suggest competent referees for consideration by the editorial board. Referees will remain anonymous unless they expressly request to be identified.
